12/22/2023 0 Comments F1 2017 resource points![]() In last year’s review we talked about how the updates that were desperately needed from 2015’s bare bones attempt made an impact with 2016 release. Even as a driving game fan, you’ll find nothing quite drives like these cars.Codemasters Birmingham ups the ante with their newest entry for the 2017 F1 season. However, if you’re a fan of the sport it is a worthy purchase. This is less a skill-barrier as there are loads of assist options, but understanding of things like car set-up and tyre wear are as important in the game as they are in reality.į1 2017 is saved by the real world sport’s new regulations and having some of the greatest tracks in the world, but it still has rough edges from the game engine change made in 2015. This could have been used to introduce the new practice programmes and earn extra resource points to start development for experienced players. ![]() In February, teams meet at a track to test before the season starts. There is no recognition bar a text box that you’ve won the world championship, no interaction with the press at all (which was one of the series’ main draws 7 years ago) and the missed opportunity of not using pre-season testing to bring new players up to speed. The game also falls down by leaving out other minor touches. It’s nice to have podium celebrations but when they haven’t changed in 3 years and fail to express driver personality, they bring down the experience. There is also a specific event section which offers a scenario based on the race happening during the week you play.Ī noticeable change has been in the more vibrant colour palette, but the human animation leaves a lot to be desired. Outside of the career, there are time trials and series to enter which offer special scenarios such as extreme weather conditions. They each handle in their own way and are filtered into career mode through invitational events, which offers a good respite from the demanding career mode. While complex, this is a great expansion on 2016’s offering.Ĭlassic cars are also featured. This allows you to model your car to better suit your driving style or to focus on what is important in the character of the next track. Practice is more important than in previous iterations, as it nets you resource points to use in a truly massive development tree. These long races can be reduced to short distance, and can always be saved when you need a break. Fuel management is still key, where using more fuel grants higher speeds but less efficiency in long races. Tyres have also been modified this year to last longer, so it’s an entirely different experience than before. Previous years’ low-drag designs have been ditched in favour of high-grip, high downforce models more in line with older cars. What makes it feel different are the cars themselves. ![]() They are driving games and compared to other driving series, it is highly commendable.į1 2017 is more of an iterative change from last year than a complete redesign. Another factor that these games encounter is, despite being based on a sport, they’re not sports games in the truest sense. This year, the cars have intentionally been made more extreme, and this is reflected in the game. Licensed games for Formula 1 are highly dependent on the Formula itself.

![]() As a love letter to DC's most nefarious characters, this LEGO game may contain the largest lineup of Batman 's rogues to date. The LEGO DC Super-Villains game also created the opportunity to include lesser-known Gotham criminals like Calendar Man, Hugo Strange, Talon and Ventriloquist. This title includes many beloved Batman villains, including mainstays like Joker, Two-Face and Penguin. In 2018 Traveler's Tales also released LEGO DC Super-Villains, a spin-off which focuses entirely on the DC universe's iconic criminals. The first game in the series includes rogues like Joker, Scarecrow, Two-Face and Poison Ivy, with each possessing their own unique powers and abilities. While players are able to control Batman and allies like Robin and Batgirl, playing as villains allows them to sow mayhem across a construction set Gotham. ![]() Amanda Waller.Like most games in the plastic brick-based adventure game series, the LEGO Batman video games include an extensive roster of characters from throughout the superhero franchise. What's more, there's supposedly a campaign to get Oprah Winfrey (Opens in a new window) to step in as Dr. Producers have already signed Jared Leto to play the Joker, while Will Smith will play Deadshot and Margot Robbie is set to be Harley Quinn. The Suicide Squad's roster has been changed up many times, but we do have a good idea of which villains will make the cut for the movie in a couple of years. It's also likely that the supervillain gang will be featured (Opens in a new window) in a Batman: Arkham title at some point. The Lego DLC pack, which will sell for $2.99 on its own or available for purchase as part of a $14.99 DLC season pass, won't be the only video game in which you'll see the Suicide Squad or its kid-friendlier version. Interactive's description of the DLC coming in 2015. "In The Squad add-on content pack, a mysterious figure has infiltrated Belle Reve Penitentiary, and it's up to players to smash their way through the prison as Deadshot, Deathstroke, Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, and other members of The Squad to hunt down this infiltrator before Amanda Waller'sand The Squad'ssecrets are uncovered," reads Warner Bros. For the Lego franchise, however, the villainous task force will be known simply as "The Squad." The Suicide Squad, which has included rogues like Deathstroke and Harley Quinn over the years, will be getting its own movie in 2016. So some die-hard DC comics fans may scratch their heads over the supervillain Suicide Squad's appearance in upcoming downloadable content (DLC) for Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. Īll Size 10: In all of the boots, if you want to use your sole insert order one size up. I'm going to rank these for ease of scanning reviews. I'll try to remember to add it in here later. That being said there is a better, more versatile and just as safe alternative. To be be fair, the LaCrosse is the most uncomfortable because it is a more rigid snake proof boot. Depends on the manufacturer:įor our purposes here I will compare size 10 in:ġ. I compared at least 6 different rain boots, mud boots and different sizes in some. If you just need a pair of cheap boots to muck around in on weekend projects, then these boots will do just fine and won't break the bank. If you need a heavy duty, long-term, every day construction boot, look elsewhere. You get what you pay for, and considering I barely paid anything, I'm 100% satisfied with my purchase. BUT, for only $22.00 and PRIME shipping, you really can't complain too much. I guarantee there's plenty of better boots out there. They probably won't last for 20 years, they're normal/average in comfort, and QC on the final product isn't exactly top notch. Overall Impression: Like I said, they're great boots.for the money. If that's important to you, then there you go. Place of Origin: The boots have "Made In USA" on the top side of the boot. To me it's not anything that would detract me from buying them again. Weight: They're not HEAVY (I've definitely owned much heavier boots before), but they're not athletic shoe light either.not that you should reasonably expect that anyways. There weren't any holes, or rips, or broken seams or anything of that nature, and the tread looked perfectly fine. But I didn't find anything that would negatively impact the actual use of the boot. Does this impact functionality? No, just goes to show that QC isn't the primary focus of the manufacturer. The cut on the tops of the boots are a little off as well. As you can see in my pictures, there are plenty of left over rubber tabs and pieces from when the excess rubber from the mold was trimmed off the boot. Quality: Overall quality control leaves a little to be desired. They don't hurt the feet to walk around in and the steel-toe insert doesn't hurt or stick out in any bad way either. They're definitely not what I would call "comfortable", in the sense that I think "wow, these are really comfy to walk around in". I followed their recommended measurements/sizes and it turned out to be correct.Ĭomfortability: I would give them a "normal" comfort rating. If you're wondering about sizes, definitely take a look at the size chart in the pictures on this listing. Well these boots I ordered in a size 10 and they fit (with the wool socks) perfectly. I usually wear a size 10 shoe and so often order a size up in boots to allow for room with thicker wool socks, etc. Size & Fit: As other reviewers have said, they run a bit big. Packaging was normal, came in a sealed plastic bag. Shipping & Packaging: Shipping was fast, 1 day. I do not work in any kind of construction field so they will not see daily wear and tear. My Intended Uses: I ordered these for some weekend concrete work and general "beater" boot duties around the house or up north. Would I recommend them if you're a hard-core, every day construction worker? Probably not.unless you're hard up for cash. Are they more than adequate for average joe use, for the cost? Absolutely. Are they mind blowingly amazing, super comfy, top of the line boots? No. Overall, I believe that these are great boots FOR THE MONEY. The data here used here is more meaningful and it is employee data. Transposed_Dataframe = Core_anspose(copy='True')Ĭode Explanation: In this example, a much better-organized dataframe is considered as input. Example #2Ĭore_Dataframe = pd.DataFrame()Ĭore_t_index('Emp_No',inplace=True) we can also notice in the given output snap that the series data structure did not face any structural change and it the original series itself gets printed on to the console. this means that the core dataframe does not face any change in its axis or in its row-column structure as a result of the transpose function. basically, since a series data structure is not of a row, column format the impact of the transpose() function on the core series is not to any extent. The transpose method is applied over the core series. the series involves an increase in the values by 10. The values in the series are formulated in such a way that they are a series of 10 to n. Transposed_Series = Core_anspose()Ĭode Explanation: Here the pandas library is initially imported and the imported library is used for creating a series. For example, pandas data frames know how to tell you their shape, the pandas object knows how to concatenate two data frames together.Core_Series = pd.Series() Object methods are things the objects can perform. Side note: Some brands (like Goli, Garden of Life, and Vitafusion) say their ACV gummies include as much as 250 percent of your daily rec for vitamin B12. However, ACV could provide more consistent energy throughout the day by preventing blood sugar spikes (and the crashes that come along with them, which make you feel exhausted), she explains. Boost your energyĪpple cider vinegar doesn't have a special nutrient that should make you feel more energetic, Meshulam notes. The study didn’t include people, though, so take the results with a grain of salt. Support heart healthĪcetic acid helped to lower “bad” cholesterol in rats while raising their “good” cholesterol in one older study from The British Journal of Nutrition. But again, don’t rely on ACV alone to support these beneficial bacteria. ![]() The good bacteria can basically “nudge out” harmful bacteria, and some probiotics actually boost the production of antibodies, Meshulam says. Probiotics (and the prebiotics supporting them) are good for your immune system. Plus, ACV can promote motility, Zeitlin says-in other words, it keeps things moving in your GI system. Still, it can aid digestion: The acetic acid in apple cider vinegar can help people with low levels of stomach acid to break down food, WH previously reported. Are Wellness Shots Actually Good For You?.Put simply, don’t rely on ACV alone to support the healthy bacteria in your gut. And while apples are rich in pectin, a prebiotic, a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar (roughly two gummies, depending on the brand) probably doesn’t contain enough of the fiber to count as your dose of prebiotics for the day, Meshulam says. So far, we don’t have the research to prove that. “However, for something to be considered a probiotic, it must contain enough healthy bacteria to promote a health benefit,” she says. The ACV fermentation process does create bacteria, according to Meshulam. Meanwhile, prebiotics “feed” those bacteria. Quick refresher: Probiotics are the "good" bacteria in your gut that support digestive health and your immune system. You might see claims that apple cider vinegar has prebiotic or probiotic properties. There’s some interesting research out there on this front, but it comes with a few caveats. Help you lose weightĪpple cider vinegar on its own isn’t going to be a magic pill for weight loss, but it *might* give you an edge if you’re already working towards a weight-loss goal via nutrition and exercise changes, according to Meshulam. Here's what we know about the main claims attached to apple cider vinegar in liquid or oral supplement form. Bottom line: Any health benefits associated with apple cider vinegar haven’t been linked to the actual gummy kind yet. “We don’t necessarily know that the gummies are doing anything, because there’s no research on them,” Meshulam says. What do apple cider vinegar gummies supposedly do?īefore we dive in, keep in mind that there’s an important distinction between apple cider vinegar in its raw, unfiltered form and gummy form. ![]() Marissa Meshulam, registered dietitian and founder of MPM Nutrition, and Brigitte Zeitlin, registered dietitian and owner of BZ Nutrition, weigh in below on this latest iteration of the ACV trend. But are they really all they’re cracked up to be? Users claim they have plenty of benefits, from reducing bloat to curbing appetite. In fact, the great taste of Goli gummies comes up in a ton of Amazon reviews, along with other words of praise. The appeal is pretty clear: The gummies are, in theory, a more pleasant way to incorporate apple cider vinegar into your diet than, say, drinking the stuff raw or swallowing the supp in pill form. BeLive, for instance, boasts a sugar-free recipe, and Goli claims its formula includes vitamins B9 and B12. They tend to contain around 500 milligrams (equivalent to a few teaspoons) of ACV per serving, but other ingredients vary from brand to brand. Think of it as your daily multi-gummy reimagined to deliver the supposed benefits of apple cider vinegar. But these days, the substance is taking yet another form: apple cider vinegar gummies. And that’s fair enough, considering it appears on Instagram in everything from simple salad dressings to influencers’ “fat-burning” elixirs. You might think you’ve seen it all when it comes to apple cider vinegar. 12/21/2023 0 Comments Enhanced night vision goggle binocular![]() “Now, the entire system that was in a bag is on my body.” “On past deployments, if I wanted some kind of thermal observation, I had to have a different bag with about 20 batteries or so to make it last for a 24-hour operation,” Baker said. Batteries add significant weight so anytime battery life could increase, it allows the soldier to carry fewer batteries. Reducing weight for the soldier was a driving factor in much of the design of all the equipment fielded this week. The helmet’s creation took about 18 months - a process that was sped up to meet the timeline of the goggles, Whitehead said. Any holes drilled into the helmet increase vulnerability, she said.Īlready working on the helmet, her team collaborated with the goggles team since the two items needed to work together for soldiers. Instead of drilling holes to attach chin straps, the outer materiel of the helmet was built up to create a place to attach items. ![]() “How do I make soldiers more survivable but also lighter?” “My charter is to continue driving the weight of personal protective equipment down,” Whitehead said. Ginger Whitehead, a product manager with PEO Soldier. These new helmets are 5% lighter than the helmets soldiers wear now and offer better protection for ballistic and blunt impacts, said Lt. “We might not have gotten it just right for soldiers without that.”Īlong with the goggles, 150 updated helmets were delivered to 2nd Brigade. “That young Marine actually asked for more information in his goggles,” he said. When testing the goggles with Marines, Hodne said he asked one young Marine whether there was too much data on the screen. “Generationally, my views on some of the data is different than young kids.” “We’ve now put out a heads-up display that is providing a lot more real-time information,” he said. David Hodne, director of the Futures Command's Soldier Lethality Cross Functional Team, said the touch points also helped clear the generational differences between young soldiers and senior leaders. This fast-paced feedback loop ultimately sped up the 18-month process of fielding the device, which was a collaboration between PEO Soldier and Army Futures Command, as well as the Marine Corps.īrig. These were opportunities for soldiers to test and try the equipment to offer feedback, which was turned around on the next version of the goggles, sometimes within a week. The details and capabilities of the goggles were tested through “touch points” with soldiers. It’s going to cut stops and cut down on the time it takes to get to an objective.” “I could just put on my goggle and select my way point. “Paired with the and augmented reality, you’re no longer stopping to do map checks,” he said. He has been on four deployments, split evenly between Iraq and Afghanistan. 1st Class Brion Baker, technical adviser for the Soldier Lethality Cross Functional Team, said he sees the digital magnetic compass as something that he would have found extremely helpful on any of his previous four deployments. The new weapon optic weighs about 1.2 pounds. One setting allows the soldier to view what is visible through the sight on their weapon, so the soldier could stand protected behind a wall, point their weapon out and see around the corner. Because the new night vision works without ambient light, all this can occur in tunnels, buildings without windows or on a cloudy, starless night.Ī remote attached to a soldier’s weapon allows him or her to toggle between viewing modes and displays - again keeping the soldier’s eyes on the battlefield. The goggles augment reality so allies on the map appear on the display as the soldiers look at their surroundings. ![]() In a presentation about these capabilities, members of Program Executive Office Soldier team, the Army entity known as PEO Soldier that prototypes, procures and fields new equipment, explained improved goggles mean soldiers will be able to see better in smoke and dust, see about 1,500 meters, which is farther than they can shoot with precision, and have information on the location of allies displayed through the goggles from their mapping system so they do not have to look down. It has about a six-hour battery life from a battery pack that attaches to the back of the helmet. This offers better depth perception than a monocular design and a clearer image than older night vision devices, according to a news release about the goggles. Weighing about 2.5 pounds, the goggles offer a fused display comprised of an image intensifier and thermal imagery in a binocular design. The goggles are the first to offer soldiers capabilities during the day and night, and they have two viewing tubes that attach to a soldier’s helmet and flip down for viewing. “It increases their survivability, their lethality and I’m proud to be a part of it,” Grinston said. 12/21/2023 0 Comments Uninstall blackhole mac![]()
